hi
yes, i´d urgently like to see it being a loop (Playback) player -because its so close...and there is no one like this on the market
the only thing it needs is a Midi note -trigger-feature, so it can be controlled via music-keyboard or foot controller too.
The wireless controller is so cool..

Imagine a small band - say a singer and a guitar player having playbacks to sing and play along with.
Now, its not the point to have the whole playback song running- which is simple and can be done with a simple mp3 player.

The trick is to play parts of the song in loops like Intro, Verse, Bridge, Chorus a.s.o.
The main approach here is to have a more improvised song structure, which results in a performance that is much more alive than a normal playback is.
The musician can choose when his solo is finished, or when the other parts are going to take place.

Its not just another try and error idea- its an essential way of performing some songs in a very musical and exiting way - ive tried it with hardware loopers - its so cool. It depends on the song though- not all songs are good for this, but some are , and these will spice up the show 100%...

Id really like to see it having midi-trigger features - and some more handy actions like :
stop -
play loop or one shot =on top -
play next -
play previous -
play loop nr.X, /
while you always can choose which will be the next loop anyways.

you start a loop, and it is repeating as long as you want -
then you trigger another one, but its starting only when the first one has reached its end .. (you wont believe this but Ableton Live cannot do this very logical simple action!!!)
Great would be to have a FILL beat in between this loops- you trigger it in the 3thd bar, so the fill is playing in the 4th bar, followed by the next loop. (this could be done with the actions)

there is Ableton Live that should be able to do this but it is a huge production tool- its tooo big -

thanks for reading this

Hi,

thanks for your comments and suggestions. Your use case indeed sounds amazing!

MIDI triggers are a long-awaited feature. It's going to be implemented, but currently the top priority still is fading and some hotkey limitations.

Adding more finish actions sounds reasonable as well. I've added this to the feature requests for now.

Thanks again!

Cheers,
Chris
