Hi Chris, It would be great to have also a Mac version of this software.
Thank you! All the Best, Geo

Hi Geo,

I've been looking into this. The Problem is that there's no CodeGear Delphi for OS X at the moment. As this is the development environment being used, making an Apple Mac version would require CombiWave to be rewritten from scratch.

For example Parallels or Virtualbox can be used for running CombiWave within a virtual machine on Intel Macs. If you don't want to run Windows in a virtual machine you can also try using CrossOver or Wine to run CombiWave on OS X or Linux.

Cheers, Chris

It's barely tested but CombiWave 4.0 seems to work fine on OSX and Linux using WINE or Crossover office.

Thank you Chris for your quick response!

I understand, hm, this is one of the softwares that I would gladly have it on Mac. I use it on my Mac through the Parallels Desktop and it works fine.

All the Best,
Geo

Hi again!

It's good to know that the Parallels solution is working for you.

Regarding your other question: I replied on myspace.

Chris

Ok, thank you. We will talk then on myspace.

Geo

I just updated my first reply as there are new options for using CombiWave on the Mac or on Linux.

However: While it may work, please note that running CombiWave in virtual machines or using WINE is not supported! It's just a possibility for those who like to experiment.

Just FYI: Parallels does work fine for me.
