Hi Chris,
I've recently been getting involved in sound editing and live stage sound effects in my local arts centre theatre. The theatre has recently upgraded to Dolby 5.1 surround sound, which is mainly used for showing films. The system is,however run via the main theatre mixer. This would make all five chanels available to direct analogue injection as I have a 5.1 soundcard (Creative soundblaster external)that I use with my laptop. I have the capability to export 6-channel Windows Media 9 Pro files from Adobe auditions.
I was wondering if Combiwave is capable of handling such files, and if not do you have any plans to make this possible. I will be trying it out anyway over the next few days to see if it is possible.
Cheers
Mike
Re: 6-channel Windows Media 9 Pro
Hi Mike,
I'm sorry for my late reply (the notification went into the spam folder).
Playing 5.1 files is supported.
I'm also planning to add support for playing up to 3 stereo files over one 6-channel (5.1) soundcard in the future.
Hope this helps.
All the best,
Chris
Re: 6-channel Windows Media 9 Pro
Chris,
Thanks for that. As and when I get a chance to try it out I will let you know.
Thanks again

Mike
